By the glass takeover
Imagine savouring a flight of carefully selected wines, each one personally introduced and explained by the passionate winemaker who crafted it. It's like a mini wine dinner where you can ask questions, explore the winemaking process, and gain insights directly from the source.
This is a rare opportunity to connect with a winemaker on a personal level. Get an insider's perspective on the wines you're enjoying and discover the stories behind each bottle.
We will be showcasing the best of the producer's offerings. Let the winemaker guide you through their selections, ensuring a perfectly paired and educational lunch experience.
Wine Maker in Residence
On the first Thursday of every month, we will host a winemaker or producer over lunch where we will showcase their wines by the glass, carafe or flight.
This November Gilt Brasserie will be hosting an additional By the Glass takeover. We are thrilled to have winemaker, Paul Pujol from Prophet's Rock in Central Otago in residence join us for this educational dining experience.
Paul Pujol brings a wealth of experience to Prophet’s Rock, with roots in Marlborough and mastery honed in France’s Languedoc, Sancerre, Burgundy, and Alsace.
His time at Maison Kuentz-Bas in Alsace, where he became the first non-French head winemaker since the estate’s founding in 1795, ingrained in him a philosophy of minimal intervention and vineyard expression.
Today, Paul’s wines are known for their elegance and depth, making him a standout figure in New Zealand winemaking.
